All the main structures in this original acrylic painting, on a museum-quality stretched canvas, are applied to the canvas by pouring, squirting, splattering, or stirring a preprepared special mixture of acrylic paint, pouring medium, a small amount of isopropyl alcohol, and water. I mix the premium-quality (Liquitex) Soft Body Acrylic Paints with precise amounts of high-quality (Liquitex) Pouring Medium. The thickness of the mixture results in a textured effect, where each additional layer of the acrylic paint projects further away from the surface of the canvas. Think an extremely embossed effect. Many details were added, after all the layers of poured paint cured, using premium-quality (Uni Posca) Acrylic Paint Markers, and professional-grade (Copic) Felt-Tipped Ink Pens. This painting took about five months, from conception to a finished piece.
